Favorite lipsticks

Did you know that first lipstick was invented about 5,000 years ago? And its been worn by woman and MEN. They applied it almost daily with wet sticks of wood, and favored colors such as magenta, blue-black, and orange, though red was also a popular shade. Since I am not a fan of VERY provocative colors I will share my favorite ones, that I use daily or when I go out. I wasn't in to lip paints that much as any other girl, I preffer bare lips or just a bit of nude lip gloss. But as I found some shades that really suits me, I now own few lipsticks that i really like.

Although, they are not very expensive ( just under £10) it stays on for quite long time. Hot stuff by Seventeen won't come off even after the meal! So why spend so much and pay just for name or packaging, when you can get real bargain and it will last you as long as those expensive ones. All of them has a very creamy texture, pigmented colors, it doesn't dry your lips, can be kept sheer or built to a more noticeable matte color.

Because of the light, I can't show exact color of the lipsticks, so this is the closest I could get. Going Steady looks more like orange in the photo, but it's actually nude. I love Hot Stuff shade, I would never wear red lipstick, until my friend gave me to try this on. And I was totally in love with it. Vintage, bright red and looks very sexy on the lips. My favorite of all is Pink Pout by Revlon. It's very simple, conservative and natural shade - perfect to wear it everyday at work. You can find them all in Boots for very affordable price!

DIY Body Scrub

As we all know body scrub helps to remove all the dead skin off our body, making us feel fresh and rejuvenated. If you're not using a body scrub then you're missing out on a number of benefits that other skin care products don't provide. Using a body scrub regularly will help make your skin look more vibrant and youthful. When you scrub your body, it helps promote circulation. A body scrub is the best way to remove a skin tan. If your skin had become rough and has darkened due to pollution or exposure to dust, you can use it to remove the rough skin layer leaving you with a soft and supple skin. One of the biggest benefits to body scrubs is the glow that your skin is left with. You can choose from countless different types of scrubs, and many different recipes to make it your own way. So I've chose to make coffee and coconut oil body scrub. They say that coffee grounds can help to improve cellulite. The caffeine plays a big part in helping to tighten the skin. And coconut oil leaves your skin feeling soft and moisturized. So you will need:
  • Ground Coffee
  • Coconut oil
  • Extra Virgin olive oil (~5 tbsp)
  • Sugar
  • Jar
It's entirely up to you what amount of products you are going to use, as it's all depends on what size of jar or container you have. So place all ingredients in one bowl and mix it all together. You can melt coconut oil in a microwave before mixing, or just leave as it is, because if you are going to mix everything with your hands it will melt itself ( moisturizing your hands at the same time! ). After everything is mixed together, place your body scrub in the jar and treat yourself with a long, relaxing bath! Enjoy!

DIY Candle Jar

''Thousands of candles can be lit from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.'' - Buddha
''Don't let anyone dim your light, especially when your light worth shining.'' - Unknown

''If you are not lightning any candles, don't complain about being in the dark.''' - Unknown

Candles - it's something magical, mystical and secret. It gives you such a calming, peaceful and romantic feelings. I love candles and won't be spending a night without burning at least one! A little candle can change the atmosphere completely. And it doesn't have to be expensive, scented or shaped candles to get this wonderful feeling. You can place it anywhere and it will turn your room into a little temple. So I will show you how I turned unused jar into gorgeous piece of art.

You will need:

  • Any size, type or shape jar
  • Candle
  • Scissors
  • Stickers
  • String
Most of my stuff I've bought from Poundland, and the all worked just fine. It doesn't have to be expensive items to get a good product.

So lets begin:

Its very quick and super easy DIY. Soak your jar in hot water and leave it for a while until label and all glue come off . Place stickers (it could be any kind of stickers or you can use your imagination and create your own decoration) on the jar, just the way you like. Place in your candle (it doesn't have to be Yankee's). Wrap your string (or could be a cute ribbon) around and WUALAAAA, you have your very own diy candle! But please be very careful when burning your candles, you don't want it to turn into disaster!

Enjoy your result!

Nail treatments

Your nails are a way to speak your style without having to say a word. So we all want healthy looking nails. And to have healthy nails you need to look after them, not just filing them once a week, but also investing some money for a good treatment. I would HIGHLY recommend to purchase OPI Nail Envy. One of must have products for your nail care. This is a great product, it goes on easily and really approves the appearance of the nails. I've never had long healthy nails, until I bought OPI. It is expensive, but its totally worth the price. My nails were growing extremely fast and condition of my cuticles improved significantly. On the package it says to apply one or two coats every 2 days, but I found it as waste of product. 2 coats of nail strengthener is more than enough to last you few days. You can apply on it's own or as a base coat and then over the nail polish. It gives great shine. Only down side is the very strong smell, but it won't stay for long. Also, I've noticed that using too much of this product my nails started peeling of a bit, so make sure you give a short break after using it for a while.

OPI Discover Kit

OPI Nail Envy comes in clear and nude shades, which I love both, nude shade you can use it on its own and it gives you very natural looking nails. This new formula contains all the properties of the Original Nail Envy treatment but in an easy-to-wear nude shade that suits all skin tones.

OPI has loads of great nail care products. Avoplex nail and cuticle replenishing oil works just as good as Nail Envy. And it smells gorgeous! Avoplex nourishes your cuticles and helps your nails grow faster. Moisturizing your cuticles is very important improving your nails health, but let's not forget our hands,  OPI Avojuice will take care of it. It's so good, that I just can't get enough of it! You can choose from many different scents and Violet Orchid is my favorite. I love that smooth, soft feeling you get after applying this skin quencher.

I want to show you, guys, my little experiment with OPI Nail Envy. I've pictured my nails every week just to see the progress and results were obvious. Please excuse me for the picture quality as it's been taken a while ago.
I love painting my nails and I love seeing results after trying something new. I have 4 full boxes of nail polish and most of them haven't been used! I know, I am crazy, but what can I do if I can't resist of buying new ones. It's like they are calling me when I walk past the shelves ''Come and have a look, it's a new collection, new shades'' !!! Arghhhh...
They say: The only time a woman is helpless is when her nail polish drying. Other than that, WATCH OUT!

Review: Lorea'l make up products

As most of the girls - I love make up, its amazing how few products can change the way you look completely. So let me introduce my best friends.Without those 3, I won't start my day. So let's begin: Volume Milion Lashes mascara - if you like full, long and very black lashes this shining magic wand it's just for you. Eye lashes looks amazing every single time, no clumps long and thick with a very quick application. Good brush, gives a good volume if applied with a few layers. It gives the false eyelash look, without being too dramatic.True Match foundation - this product blends very well with my natural skin tone and is non-irritating on my face. As I have very sensitive skin, it could get very tricky to pick the right product. I have tried SO MANY different foundations, even those famous brands that all profesional make up artists use, but it wasn't right for my skin. I used to be left with flaky, dry skin. But friend of mine recommended Lorea'l True Match and I thought I will give it a go. It does what it says on the label, gives you very good coverage without leaving your face looking 'cakey'. It's not overprices like some other brands and it lasts for ages. True Match mineral powder - I apply a foundation base and use this powder on top for a flawless finish. Powder allows skin to breathe, gives you great coverage and helps to reduce oily shining. The brush is really good for application, very soft and it feels nice on your skin. You can use powders on its own and it still gives you great coverage!

Tips for our curves

Most useful tips that really works:

Don’t Waste that Waist

When you have curves you have a waist. By highlighting the waist, you not only balance the proportion of your body, but you look slimmer. There are many ways to shape your waist. The obvious are to choose tops, jackets and dresses that have waist definition. Cinch in your waist with a wide belt to accentuate it, this also helps show off your natural curves and will break up your body a bit.
Pencil skirts - Pencil skirt can be matched up easily with shirts, blouses, jackets, high–waisted belts, and mixed with different kind of shoes.  A pencil skirt shows off the width of your bottom but also the lesser width of the waist.

Invest in shapewear

It really works. And it's not a secret that many women wears it. Shape wear also provides the perfect canvas underneath clothing to keep them from clinging, it can even make you look a size smaller without diet or exercise. Some shape wear is really meant for cinching, much like a girdle, and then some of it simply smoothes your shape.  The idea of shape wear being made for heavier women is a myth, and that anyone, regardless of their size, can benefit from wearing the right figure-hugging lingerie.

Mask problem areas with color

If you don't want to wear all black, just try masking your problem areas with the shade. Not thrilled with your legs but love your upper body? Mask 'em with a well-fitting pair of black pants or a skirt, and add a bright pop of color on top. To hide larger arms or hips, choose a tailored black blazer and show off your bottom half with some brightly colored shorts or a skirt.

Review: Hair care products

I want to share my experience with some of the beauty products I've used and make a little reviews if I think it would be helpful for you, guys. So I will start with hair products. As I have long hair sometimes it gets very difficult to look after it. I love my hair and I love treating them as much as i can. With every season my hair condition changes significantly. Towards winter it's always getting worse, my hair gets VERY frizzy and tangled so brushing becomes a very painful procedure. I've tried numerous products to improve my hair health, but not all of it worked. So check out my favorite ones:

TRESemme Liquid Gold Argan Oil Infused Perfecting Hair Treatment - Pleasant light weight oil that leaves hair feeling silky and soft. I always apply it after straightening or on wet hair. It doesn't leave your hair greasy. It can be applied on dry or wet hair. Just one or two pumps and hair is left smooth and very soft. And one bottle lasts for ages! This oil is very effective and a little goes a long way, specially for such a good value for money.

Tangle Teezer - As my hair gets longer and longer I've started to notice that it tangles even if I wont get out the house! Brushing turned in to my worst nightmare. I've decided to invest a little fortune in a good hair brush. After browsing through pages and seeing loads of overpriced tools, my eyes got stuck on this colorful buddy. After reading reviews that had positive and negative comments, I've decide to try it myself. And I cannot describe how happy I am about my decision! Best brush ever! Very light weight, and it comes in different colors, so you can get your favorite. I was so impressed how smooth it slides through my hair and how well it fights against tangles. You can remove hair from the brush very easily. I am sure you can find it in every Boots store or order it online.

John Frieda Frizz Ease Daily Miracle Treatment - first of all, it smells gorgeous and this pleasant scent lasts through the day. This is detangling leave in conditioner. And my hair absolutely loves it.  This spray helped my hair a lot, it makes brushing so much easier and even on the day 2 i can still enjoy smooth and silky hair.

One of the must have products - coconut oil. Coconut oil is an excellent hair conditioner as it softens the hair and conditions the scalp. For damaged hair, coconut oil can be used as a deep conditioning mask. Heat the coconut oil for a few seconds, then gently work it through the hair and massage into the scalp. I normally wrap my hair in a plastic bag, putting towel on the top and then leaving it overnight. In the morning I shampoo my hair FEW times until all oil is removed. It leaves my hair unbelievable soft and lightweight. Coconut also can be used as a skin moisturizer, soften your scars, it also helps to fight against stretch marks, rashes or wounds. Coconut oil absorbs readily into the skin & keeps it soft, but not greasy.

Accessories

 Autumn essentials

Ok, accessories has always been VERY important to me, I am literally obsessed with statement necklaces. I always thought that you accessories are just as important as your outfit. Nobody can flaunt the bold accessories than women with curvy figure. By adding belts, big bags or statement jewelery you can complement your look.Waist belt can dramatically enhance your look, making you look slimmer by highlighting your small waist and defining curves.  But do not over do the things. Less is always more.

Curvy girl style

Crepe or skater style dresses, with different accessories.

Blazers in different styles. Fitted or boyfriend style - both looks great on any kind of shapes.

Many years i have been trying to find something what suits my curves best. I've been  reading loads of magazines and posts about DO's and DON'T's. And i can tell you - I've learn nothing from those stylist or experts. In my personal opinion the best thing to do is spend some time in fitting rooms with loads of different style of clothing. I have spent hours trying all different varieties, until i found what's best for me. I have an hourglass shape (not the perfect one), so I fall in love with bodycon dresses. It hugs your figure very well and with some shapewear under the dress it can create a very sexy silhouette! I recently discovered Crepe (Skater) style dresses, and I was surprised how well it hides all unwanted stuff. I think it's perfect for casual or smart look with right accessories. Next in my top list - blazers, it cinch in your waistline in a seconds! You can create loads of different looks, starting with very basic casual and ending up with super smart look. And don't be afraid to add more colours to your wardrobe! Just because you are curvy it doesn't mean that you can't follow trends.
