What's on my phone

I've always loved reading those posts about what others have on their phones, you can always find some very useful apps and because I am nosy, I like to go through people's phones (sorry, no sorry). I thought why not share what is on my phone and maybe some of you will discover apps that you will use it in the future. Now, I have loads, and I mean loads, unnecessary crap on my phone, which I don't even use, but it just happened that I am too lazy go through my phone and delete the ones I don't use. So I will share the apps that I use and I think they are great.
 So what's on my phone?

Covet fashion - omg, I am literally obsessed with this game! It might sounds boring, coz it's not much action going on in there, but the fun of dressing your doll takes over. You enter events to get some cash and points, you win clothes for your wardrobe and unlock new hairstyles and make up looks. You can find tons of inspiration for your outfits too.

CandyCrush - I don't think I need to make comments on this game. Everyone knows it, everyone played it and everyone gets obsessed with it.
CandyCrush Soda - when I get stuck on regular CandyCrush or run out of lives, this comes handy. It's very similar to normal game, just few new features.

TuneIn Radio - when I get fed up with my music, I jump on this radio app. It's very cool because you can listen radio stations from all over the world!

iDownloader - I use this to download music. It saves so much time and hassle, because as you all know Iphones has this stupid system that you have to add new songs only through Itunes. So this app is a life saver when you have a song stuck in your head and you need to download it right away.

CamScanner - it allows you to scan your documents, pictures or some other stuff. So if you need to scan your paperwork and send it to someone this is perfect!

HMRC - as I am a tax payer in United Kingdom, this app has all information I need to know. You can calculate your tax, get useful numbers, etc.

Countdown - when you are excited waiting for special event this app will tell you exactly how many months, days, hours or even seconds left.

NoCrop - when you take a selfie and you want to upload it on Instagram just the way it is, this app will allow you to do so.

PsExpress - basically, Photoshop on your phone!

Retouch - I use this app if I want to remove annoying background in pictures or a spot on my chin. haha Very helpful!

Darkroom - just another photo editing app with different filters and tools to improve your pics.

So that's my favorite apps I use all the time and helps me a lot when I need it. Let me know if you have any other good and useful apps I could download on my phone. Thanks!

Favorite summer cocktail

Hey guys!
As the barbecue season is already open and everyone chilling in their gardens or just a local parks, I thought to share my all time favorite alcoholic cocktail. I know not all of you should be reading this post, but there is no chance for me to control this. So I do apologies for all parents if your daughter or son is scrolling through this page at the moment.
Now let's get back to business. This cocktail is so light and yummy, I am sure most of the females will love it! It is not too strong, so if you can't handle much this is just perfect for you. You can sip it slowly through the evening or treat yourself with a second glass without worrying too much. Of course, I am not saying to drink the whole bottle on your own and get drunk!
So the main ingredient for this cocktail is amaretto. I am not sure if all of you have heard about it, but amaretto is sweet, almond-flavoured, Italian liqueur. It is made from a base of apricot pits or almonds, sometimes both. I am sure many of you have heard of Disaronno which is the most famous brand of amaretto makers. The cocktail is very easy to make, all you need is apple juice, loads of ice, amaretto and lemon. The more ice you add, the better it tastes. Amaretto is so easy to mix with many different soft drinks, because of it's taste it will make a perfect combo mixed with many alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. I used to love having it with cola, but the taste gets kind of boring after a while, so I sticked to this combination. Take a look at the pictures below, I don't think I need to comment the whole process of making it. Let me know if you have tried it already, or if you have any other suggestions for a great mix. And please drink responsibly!

Super healthy protein smoothie

Hey beauties!
I love starting my mornings with healthy breakfast, but who doesn't, right? And smoothies became my favorite, because in one drink you not only get all the necessary vitamins you need, but it keeps your stomach full and happy for a long time! This morning I made this delicious smoothie loaded with vitamins and protein to keep me going.

  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 cup frozen raspberries
  • 1/2 cup strawberries
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 mango
  • Handful spinach
  • Dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more)
  • Almond milk

I totally forgot to picture almond milk, but if you don't have it at home water would be just fine. Now, there is endless list of health benefits from all those mentioned ingredients. Blueberries and raspberries are classed as super food, so the more you consume it, the better. Cocoa is great for your brain and heart, mango helps with digestion and makes your skin glow, banana is high in fiber, strawberries helps in weight loss, spinach is loaded with protein and other amazing health benefits, so this smoothie has everything you need for the day! And not only is so super healthy, but it tastes delicious! How amazing is that?

Add all your ingredients in to your blender, this time I've used my favorite Breville Blend Active bullet. Pour some water or milk and blend it all until it's smooth. You can add some ice if you like. Enjoy it immediately.

Bon App├ętit!

Sleek Makeup Matte Me lip cream

Hey beauties!
Today I'm back with these gorgeous matte lip creams by Sleek Makeup. These lippies are very popular at the moment and I think Anastasia Beverly Hills started all this heatwave. Sleek Makeup Matte Me lip cream is great if you are velvet or matte finish lover. It glides on easily and dries super quick. I purchased two shades of these which are Petal and Fandango Purple. Petal is baby pink shade, which is perfect for pale skin for a day time wear. It would look bizaar on darker skin tones I think, as it's really light pink. Fandango Purple is berry purple shade which I found it hard to capture on camera. It looks a bit pinker in photos than it actualy is. It's very bold shade and I think it's perfect for spring/summer with a bright outfit. The lasting power of these lip creams is pretty good, it lasts for about 3 hours, you might need to reapply once or twice in a day (if you are planning to wear it all day) and if not eating or drinking it might last longer. I love the packaging, it's very simple and elegant and the brush is easy to use, but for darker shades you will need some skills or retouching after applying product on your lips if you want perfect results. Sleek Makeup Matte Me lip creams retails for a really good price £4.99, you can buy it in Boots, Superdurg or Sleek website. I really like the product, but it has a down side too. Personally, I think they could sell it in wider color range. At the moment they only do 6 shades and pretty much all of them are very bold. I would love to see some lighter and easier to wear colors. C'mon not everyone dare to wear very bright bold shades! Am I right?
Have you tried this lip cream yourself?

Being lactose intolerant

Good day!

As every single person, at the beginning of 2015, I made  New Year resolution ( you can read it here) and for the past few months I have been trying my best to hold on to them. The main promise was to loose some weight and sort my eating habits. I have to admit it is going pretty well, I've managed to loose about 15 pounds (7kgs) which is a very big number for me. I have rejoined gym and trying to go at least twice a week. I am taking one step at the time and I am not pushing myself for extreme results, I want to do it slowly and turn this routine in to my lifestyle. I said no to sugar and oily food. No more white bread, only wholemeal for breakfast once or twice a week. I used to feel bloated even if I would have just a small amount of food a day. I could not understand what is causing bloating, so I've started tracking what I eat. First thought that came to my head was bread. I completely cut on all wheat and flour products and expected to see the difference right away. Oh boy, I was wrong. I was still bloated and those bad stomach cramps was killing me. I've joined 'The Salad Eaters' team and ate only greens and a bit of fish all day everyday and nothing elseI've carried on for about 2 weeks and I am not going to lie, results were amazing: my skin was glowing, no bloating and I felt so much better. But then I've realized that I won't eat salad for the rest of my life (who does?) and tried to look for more suitable options for me. While browsing on internet for the causes of stomach bloating I came across one line, which was black on white written MILK. I just laughed and thought to myself 'Naaah, that's not me', all my life I have been having milk and there was no problems whatsoever, so why all of the sudden it can be an issue? I 'googled' more information about it and I found that lactose, which you can find in milk, is the main cause, not milk itself.

Stomach upset
Irritable bowels
Stomach cramps

I've experienced most of those symptoms, which made me realize that I am lactose intolerant. Since then, I only buy lactose free products and I still enjoy my cereal with milk in the morning or a nice afternoon tea. I have tried soya milk, almond milk and coconut milk as an alternative, but I found it hard to get use to the taste. While walking around the shop I found lactofree milk and fell in love with it right away. It tastes exactly like milk. Ever since I've stopped buying products containing lactose, my skin cleared out from breakouts and I have forgotten my bloated stomach ages ago. I also noticed that it helped me a lot in loosing weight as it contains a lot less calories. So if you experiencing some or all of those symptoms above, you should try and cut on lactose, it won't hurt if you try. Maybe you will do yourself a favor, discovering that you are lactose intolerant too.
Let me know your thoughts.

Please accept my apology

All pictures taken by me

Dear reader,
I truly want to apologise for being so passive for the past few weeks. So many things has been going on in my life lately, I kind of found it hard to deal with everything. My blog has gone down to one post a week, which I feel so upset and guilty about it. I have been so busy with work, I am going through many changes at my work place and when I get home I feel exhausted and all I can think of is my bed.

Daily facial cleansers

Hey beauties!
I have never been one of those girls that had loads different type of products lined up in my bathroom. And I had no idea what the heck was face exfoliator or those other posh words! You might think I was living under the rock or something, but I just never had big problems with my skin. Applying make up daily and sometimes being too lazy to take it off, didn't do me a favour and I was forced to look in to my skin care routine more often. I was having bad breakouts from time to time and dry patches all over my face.

Spring lipsticks: Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish

Hey girls!
I hope you had wonderful Easter! Here, in UK, forecasts really on our side and treating as with gorgeous sunshines! Weather is super warm and very summery, which is quite rare in England. As I can really feel the spring, I thought to add more color in to my lipsticks collection. I have purchased these gorgeous Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish Lipsticks in very bright colors, which is perfect for spring and summer! I wasn't a fan of bright lipsticks, but after noticing them in the shop I thought I might try it out myself. And I am so happy I did! These shades adds so much color in to your outfit, making it more playful and 'alive' (can I say that?).
Colors I picked was 16, 35, 36, shame that it doesn't have names like all lipsticks. Number 16 is coral pink shade, I wanted to own a coral lipstick for a while now, but I wasn't sure if it suits me. But I have to say, I kind of like it. It adds so much summery warmth to my outfits. Number 35 is pastel purple shade with a hint of pink. It's difficult to explain, as it looks different once applied on lips. Number 36 is neon pink shade. This one I wasn't sure about the most, as I could not imagine myself with neon lipstick! But I really liked it at the end. After cleaning this lipstick of your lips, you can find some glitter ( yes, those glittery dusts), but you can't see anything sparkly when wearing the lipstick. Weird. As I mentioned many times in my previous posts, I really like Rimmel lipsticks. Colour range is briliant, quality is amazing and prices are super affordable.
What do you think of these lippies?

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick: 128 Starry Eyed

Hey guys!
I am back with new lipstick, which I have been loving so much lately. It's Rimmel Lasting Finish in shade 128 Starry Eyed. I don't know what is it about this shade, but I am so much in to it, that it makes me reach for this lippie everytime I go out. The shade is brownish, burgundy red, kind of red wine color. It is perfect for nights and looks super dramatic wearing during the day. I have to say it's the first shade that I love seeing on myself, it's not like I don't like my other lipsticks, but I feel like this one looks the best on me! It really makes my eyes pop, specially if I add a bit of black eyeliner.

Every bargain hunter knows how good Rimmel products are, I have quite few lipsticks myself and they are all really great quality. It lasts for ages and you have plenty of colors to choose from. Price has always been super affordable and this lipstick is no exception, retailing for £4.99 you can't go wrong. The packaging is simple and travel friendly.
Let's move back to Starry Eyed shade, I have uploaded few pictures taken with flash and few without, in natural day light. You can tell a bit of difference when flash gets involved in photo, shade looks a bit more like dark red, rather than brownish burgundy. But I still like how it looks. The consistency is creamy and not drying, but if you have dry lips I would recommend add some lip balm before applying your lipstick.

This color looks great in matte, so I tend to apply some translucent powder which I recently reviewed and you can read it here. It also makes your lipstick last longer. I am so inlove with this color, it's probably going to be my 'go to' lippie for a long time! Let me know what you think about this shade. I would love to read your opinions!
