Nivea Man Post Shave Balm as a primer?

Hello there, beautiful people!

I hope you had wonderful Christmas and have been surrounded by your loved ones. I hope Santa has been good this year, or shall I say I hope YOU have been good to Santa? haha I seriously cannot believe today is New Years Eve. And then 2016... 'New Year - New Me' kind of time! haha Have you made any New Year resolutions yet? If so, leave them in the comment box down below, I would love to have a look.
Anyway, let's go back to business. So as all of you, beauty lovers, may already know good few months back beauty guru NikkieTutorials talked about using Nivea post shave balm as a primer and how much she loved it. I am not gonna lie, I was a bit shocked. What post shave balm has to do with a make up? And the she explained a little bit and I kind of got an idea. It didn't take long to spread the word and few weeks later everyone is sharing their experience with miraculous Nivea Post Shave balm. Surprise surprise! Pretty much everyone loved it too! Usually, I am not this kind of person to run and buy things people rave about, it takes a lot longer for me to get 'that' item. So this is the reason why I am so late sharing my thoughts about the famous (not) 'primer'.

So the main miraculous ingredient of this primer is glycerin, which helps keep all of your make up in place all day long. I have purchased the sensitive one (as NikkieTutorials recommended). The balm claims to be gentle and formulated with chamomile and Vitamin E to help calm and soothe the skin, also helps prevent irritation and alleviates skin dryness. Sounds great right?
The texture of it is quite runny and kind of wet (not creamy), it's hard to describe. But once you start rubbing it in to your skin, you can feel it getting a little bit sticky. It dries in a minute or even less. Many girls complained about the smells of the product and I think I am the only one who actually loves it! haha It smells like a man's after shave. Nice and fresh scent, which is not overpowering and disappears as soon as you apply on your skin. I was really worried applying something totally new on my skin, as I get terrible reactions if the product doesn't suit my skin. But luckily, my skin seem to be liking it. I didn't get any break outs and it didn't clogged my pores. So now let's get to the main part of the story. Does the post shave balm works as a primer and did I liked it? Absolutely f***ing yes!!!!! YES YES YES! Oh my God you guys, this stuff is amazing for holding your make up together! It does not make your skin look any different, it hide my pores just a tiny bit, but my make up looked amazing all freakin' day! And that's enough for me. I have been testing this balm for about two weeks and I can definitely tell the difference now. There was a day or two when I forgot to apply it before my foundation and by the end of the day my make up looked wrecked. My face got shiny, foundation creased in to laugh lines and my powder contour looked patchy. Then I've realised how well this post shave balm works. I apply my make up about 6 am and wipe it off around 6-7pm which is more than 12 hours after the application, but everything still looks OK by the end of the day. I have oily/combination skin and I get shiny T-zone and a little bit on my chin, but this post shave balm seems to keep my oils under control, as I only need a little bit of powder touch ups around lunch time. It stops foundation from creasing, which is amazing. This product costs around £5 for 100ml bottle, but most of the time all shops has discounts for it. It will last me for ages as you only need the tiniest bit of it.
